This is an advanced training in Californian massage. We will deepen your practice through the earth element without adding any new “technique.” Although we will draw on movements based on myofascial release, deep tissue work, and Deep Bodywork®, the ultimate goal of these seminars is for you to incorporate these movements in a fluid way, adapted to your own practice.
If this work interests you and you wish to go deeper, the natural next step in the curriculum would be training in deep tissue and/or trigger points.
And finally, this is the way I like to work, the way my clients love, and the way that allows me to work effortlessly and be as efficient as possible in my sessions.
I haven’t discovered anything new. I simply integrate Californian massage as a foundation, together with movements that allow me to bring more depth and less effort into my sessions.
We will end each seminar with a full integration.
Here you will learn how to incorporate body weight into your sessions, using the force of gravity in your favor in an organic way.
In this way, we allow our client to rest into this intensity.
For a massage to be effective, the quality of contact is essential, as well as delivering the precise pressure that the client needs.
In this way, we not only activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting calm and reducing the stress response, but we also induce states of deep relaxation, since all our attention is focused on the point of contact and the felt sensation.
You must have completed the basic and intermediate levels at a Californian massage school, or be certified in Esalen® massage.
You must be actively practicing.
If you are practicing professionally but are not trained in any specialty of “conscious touch,” please contact the school.
We will work with the largest and most superficial muscle structures of the body: gluteus maximus, medius and minimus, paravertebral muscles, rhomboids, hamstrings, supraspinatus, etc.
The curriculum is flexible according to the needs of the students.
We will end the seminar with a full integration.
