Apply and teach touch as an instrument of healing
We all have a deep longing in our souls to touch and be touched. In our society, unfortunately, we have lost connection with the natural act of touch. We fear not doing it right or hurting someone else. We have built a certain nervousness and rigidity around touch. We don’t know how to touch. There is a belief and conditioning that touch is forbidden because it is sexual. We have lost the pleasure and enjoyment of being alive in our bodies without guilt.
What I observe is that we have disconnected from our bodies; we live in our minds. We don’t listen to our sacred instrument that carries us every day. I know I didn’t for many years, until touch healed me so that I could also heal others.
Touch can change lives. So simple and so easy. When we are connected, we feel lightness. We have open hearts. No mind. Joy. Love. That’s why I founded the Spazio Bodywork Institute and teach thousands of people how to touch.

My Personal Journey
How I Found My Calling and Started My Own School
I began my training as a therapist in India, in 1994, where I lived for 2 years at the Osho International Commune. During this time, I explored various bodywork techniques such as rebirthing, massage, color puncture therapy, and many different transformation methods. This journey was accompanied by a conscious and honest exploration of emotions through meditations and therapeutic dances, like Gabrielle Roth’s Five Rhythms. With over 23 years of professional experience, I have lived and worked in Australia, Argentina, and Spain.
I trained in Californian Massage in 2000 at the Oasis Massage School, graduating and serving as an assistant and instructor in various courses for 6 years, alongside Ingrid May and Marcelo Bartrolí. I am also trained in Harmonic Hammocks®, Deep Tissue, and Trigger Points techniques. Additionally, I completed advanced training in Family Constellations for therapists (2005) with Vedanta Suravi and Svagito Liebermeister, as well as Zen Therapy training (2010) with Svagito Liebermeister.
I founded the first Californian Massage school in Spain in 2006. I offer individual sessions and coordinate courses and trainings in Californian Massage in several cities across Spain. Through these programs, I convey the essence of this practice, guiding clients and participants to experience a greater sense of well-being and awareness.
I am internationally certified as an Esalen® Massage therapist by the Esalen Institute in Big Sur (California) and have completed training in Somatic Experiencing®.

She is a pediatrician graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, with training in psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology of stress and polyvagal theory. For the past 3 years, she has been teaching the Neurophysiology of Massage course at the Oasis School of Californian Massage and Healing Arts.
After years of hospital practice and academic teaching in both hospital and university settings, she completed training in Psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology of Stress at the prestigious Favaloro University in Buenos Aires.
This training became a milestone in Lorena’s career, shaping a new way of understanding the health-disease process from a broader and more holistic perspective. This new approach to medicine led her to explore other fields of knowledge such as psychology, philosophy, and the study of consciousness, with a particular focus on the work of Ken Wilber.
For several years, she co-led group stress reduction workshops with other professionals through psychoeducation and the practice of Mindfulness. She also conducted theoretical and practical group seminars for patients with chronic pain and psychophysiological disorders alongside Lic. Sebastián Cillo. Together, they created RID (Integrative Reinterpretation of Pain) at www.neuroeducacionendolor.com, an integrative approach for patients with pain and other stress-related illnesses.
In the field of psychology, she trained in Somatic Experiencing (Peter Levine) and Analytical Psychology within the framework of SUAPA (Uruguayan-Argentine Society of Analytical Psychology), under the IAAP (International Association for Analytical Psychology).
Lorena has been practicing meditation regularly for over 10 years. She also explores other contemplative paths such as Unit Perception and non-dual practices.
