what you will learn

In an introductory weekend

An introductory weekend provides a basic understanding of the two main teaching elements: Californian Massage and Psychosomatic Bodywork.

It is designed to ignite your passion for bodywork and to initiate your professional journey, allowing you to continue with the annual training or the semi-intensive and intensive programs at our institute to become a Spazio Bodywork Practitioner.

These weekends focus on understanding Spazio Bodywork as an integrative practice, characterized by its enveloping wave-like motion; long, fluid, and integrative movements that form the foundation for deep-contact techniques.

The practice primarily uses hands, forearms, and elbows, with oils that facilitate fluidity.

On a psychosomatic level, we will explore self-regulation resources, neuroception (the sense of safety), presence, grounding, and other tools that may be necessary depending on the group’s needs.

All of this will be accompanied by exercises to awaken sensory awareness and help us become more embodied— the foundation of this work. The focus is first on finding my center, so I can give and receive without exhaustion, using the weight of my entire body from the hara.
